Bridal Party Stationery
Long before I even dreamed of becoming an illustrator I used to gift drawings to my loved ones. It is my love language and the most vulnerable and authentic way that I express my love to them. During the beautiful struggle of making ends meet – the joy of pursuing a career in the art industry – these cards were all I had to spoil my beloved friends.
So here I am years later, engaged to my best friend and lover. I had a week to put together stationery to gift to my sister and best friends to humbly ask them to stand next to me during the ceremony where I commit my heart and life to my soul mate. It was a mad rush but I hope they felt special.
I designed the minimalistic gift card with my favourite poem and had it printed on a textured white paper. The letter I hand wrote, while spilling many tears, and I drew Blue Bell flowers on tracing paper in pencil to wrap around the card with gold string. I chose two different colour envelopes to differentiate between the Maid of Honour and Bridesmaids. The final touch was a hand written name in gold ink on the envelopes and sealed with copper wax and a gold leaf stamp.
Have a look below at the final product. I hope it brings a smile to your face.
This is not an advertisement in the slightest. I created, sourced and paid for everything myself. It is simply to help out any DIY brides out there.
